Thai Army Small Arms Munitions Use During Bangkok Massacre 2010

ในการเบิกจ่ายกระสุนทั้งหมด 597,500 นัดรวมถึงกระสุนเบอร์ขนาด 00, 5.56มม. x 45มม. ซึ่งใช้กับปืนไรเฟิลจู่โจมเอ็ม 16 และกระสุนจำนวน 3,000 นัดขนาด 7.62มม. X 51มม. สำหรับปืนไรเฟิลซุ่มยิง SSG3000

รายการระบุว่ามีการคืนกระสุนจำนวนกว่า 522,000 นัด ซึ่งหมายความว่ากระสุนจำนวนเกือบ 77,000 ถูกกองทัพไทยใช้ยิงในระหว่างการปฏิบัติการศอฉ.

ข้อมูลที่น่าตกใจที่สุดคือมีการคืนกระสุน  7.62มม. X 51มม. สำหรับปืนไรเฟิลซุ่มยิง SSG3000 จำนวน 880 นัดเท่านั้น นั้นหมายถึงว่าค่อนข้างจะเป็นที่แน่นอนว่ากระสุนพลซุ่มยิงจำนวน 2,120 นัดจาก 3,000 นัดถูกกองทัพใช้ยิงผู้ชุมนุมคนเสื้อแดงในดือนเมษายน/พฤษภาคม ปี 2553

Here is the official count of small-arms munitions as supplied by the Thai Army for its use during the Prime Minister Abhisit-sanctioned Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation (CRES) operations during the April/May 2010 Bangkok Massacre.

It’s signed off by the SP5 munitions unit of the Thai Army, on 20 December 2010.

In total 597,500 small-arms munitions were issued in the form of 00 shotgun cartridges, standard 5.56mm x 45mm cartridges as used by M16 family of assault rifles, 3000 7.62mm X 51mm shells for SSG3000 sniper rifles.

The list then counts that just over 522,000 cartridges and shells were returned meaning that almost 77,000 shells and cartridges were fired by the Thai Army during the CRES operations.

The most shocking detail is that only 880 7.62mm X 51mm shells for the SSG3000 sniper rifle were returned after the CRES operation. This means that 2120 sniper rounds of the 3000 issued were almost certainly fired by the Thai Army at the Red Shirt protesters in April/May 2010.
